What balcony safety nets actually are
Full-Height, Nothing to Operate.
A balcony safety net is a UV-treated HDPE mesh stretched across the open face of the balcony and anchored into the structure around it. It is not a screen or a curtain — it is tensioned tight enough to take a running impact and hold. Because it covers the full height rather than just topping up the railing, it also closes the gap above a part-height parapet, which is where most balcony falls actually happen.
Sreshta fits balcony safety nets where an open balcony has become a daily worry — a flat on the ninth floor with a toddler who has just learned to climb, a cat that sits on the parapet, an elderly parent who steadies themselves on the rail. The net covers the whole opening, top to bottom, so the balcony stays usable and open to the air while the fall risk is simply taken off the table.

Balcony Safety Nets for Homes With Children, Pets or Elderly Parents
Sreshta installs balcony safety nets in knotless UV-treated HDPE mesh, tensioned across the entire balcony opening from floor to soffit. Because it is a passive barrier, there is nothing to slide, latch or remember — which is precisely why it is the usual choice for flats with toddlers, cats or elderly parents and a balcony nobody wants to lock.
Knotless Mesh, and Why the Knot Matters
Knotted net is cheaper and fails at the knot: every junction is a stress point that abrades and lets go. Knotless HDPE spreads load along the strand instead. Combined with UV treatment rated for direct coastal sun, it is the difference between a net that sags in one summer and one that holds its tension for years. Our fitters anchor into the parapet and slab, never into loose plaster, and re-tension the full face before handover.
Why our balcony safety nets hold up
A safety net is only as strong as its weakest anchor, and anchors are the part nobody inspects. We fix into sound structure — never into plaster or a tile bed — space the fixings to the load rather than to whatever is fastest, and tension the full face before we hand it over. If it settles in the first months, we come back and re-tension it.

Questions we get
Net or invisible grill — which should I pick for a balcony?
Both stop a fall. A grill keeps the view marginally clearer; a net covers the full height including the gap above a low parapet, and costs less on a large opening. We will tell you which suits your balcony when we measure.
Will the net sag after a while?
Some settling in the first weeks is normal and we re-tension it. Persistent sag means knotted net or bad anchoring — neither of which is how we fit it.
Can I still dry clothes on the balcony?
Yes. The mesh is open, so air and sun pass through as before. Plenty of our customers add a ceiling cloth hanger on the same visit.
Does it block the view?
You see through it, but a mesh is naturally more present than an invisible grill's cable. If the view is the priority, say so and we will quote the grill instead.
Often fitted together
Ask for both on the same visit and it is one measurement appointment, not two.
